Prof. Xiaochang Wang appointed as Co-Editor in Chief of Journal of Water Process Engineering (JWPE)

Prof. Xiaochang Wang was appointed as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Water Process Engineering (JWPE) during the 2019 Elsevier Board Member Committee Meeting in Perth, Australia. JWPE is one of Elsevier’s journals which was founded in 2014 and achieved an SCI Impact Factor of 3.173 in 2019.


JWPE appointed Prof. Wang as Co-Editor-in-Chief on the back of his rich experience and broad influence as founder of Journal of Water Sustainability (JWS) in cooperation with Prof. Huu Hao Ngo of University of Technology, Sydney. His appointment will further expand the influence and promote the development of the journal.


Prof. Wang is an internationally renowned academic researcher in the field of water and environment who was nominated as an International Water Association (IWA) Distinguished Fellow in 2014. Also, he serves on the IWA Fellows Steering Committee and IWA Cities of the Future Program Steering Committee. Furthermore, he is Chair of the IWA  Alternative Water Resources Cluster – China Chapter, and Editor-in-Chief of the IWA H2Open Journal.
